Waiting for June 14. The fate of PAP is uncertain, "Armenia" tends not to take the mandates, "Strong Armenia" is divided. "People"

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:

"The main post-election mood in the opposition camp remains expectant. The RA Central Electoral Commission is preparing to announce the final results of the elections on June 14. The main topic of the wait is the fate of the PAP. The party lacks about 70 votes to enter the parliament, and the recount that is being carried out now should clarify whether these votes are present or not.

If the PAP overcomes the temporary threshold, the image of the opposition field in the National Assembly will change completely. Let us remind that the parliament elects or appoints the following top officials by closed, secret vote of the deputies: RA President, RA Prime Minister, judges of the RA Constitutional Court, judges and president of the RA Court of Cassation, scientific members of the RA Supreme Judicial Council, RA Human Rights Defender, members and president of the RA Central Election Commission, members of the RA Television and Radio Commission, RA Members of the Corruption Prevention Commission, Chairman and members of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, Chairman and members of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Armenia, Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia.

In other words, if the PAP enters the parliament, the CP must go to the door of the opposition in order to pass many laws. Perhaps because of this, a criminal prosecution was initiated against Gagik Tsarukyan and they did not allow him to leave the country to go on vacation.

According to ArmLur.am, the leader of the alliance is more inclined not to take the parliamentary mandates, leaving full responsibility for the results of the country's governance to the "Civil Agreement". At the same time, the final decision has not been published yet, because, as Robert Kocharyan announced, they will form a united position with the other opposition forces. Ishkhan Saghatelyan, representative of the General Assembly of the ARF, stated that, despite the reservations about the composition of the Constitutional Court, the opposition is going to appeal to the Supreme Court to dispute the legal issues regarding the electoral process.

Until now, the members of the party team have not met with leader Samvel Karapetyan. Only Narek Karapetyan communicates with his uncle, and the elected and non-elected MP candidates mostly meet with each other in groups and discuss the situation. According to ArmLur.am, two approaches have been formed within the party. The members at the back of the list, who were not elected MPs, mainly urge not to take the mandates and thus not to legitimize Pashinyan's rule. And the most important thing is not to be beaten, persecuted and targeted for 5 years.

And those who were elected deputies have a more combative disposition. That wing insists that it is necessary to go to the parliament, fight "against the regime" from the inside, create problems for Pashinyan's government and use the parliamentary platform as a platform for political struggle. Let's remember that the leader of the list, Narek Karapetyan, in addition to waiting for the fate of the PAP, publicly made a rather remarkable prediction, announcing that it would be possible to "steal" or take 8 CP deputies to their side. there is still silence among the forces that have overcome the transient threshold.

While it is accepted that they should have announced:

1. Were the elections legitimate or not?
2. accept the election results or not,
3. announce all their steps after the final count.

But nothing has been announced. The opposition forces are facing a difficult and difficult decision: whether to take the mandates, go to the parliament and be targeted, criticized, beaten and subjected to political pressure in the next five years like today's opposition, or give up the mandates. But giving up mandates is not as easy as it might seem at first glance.

For that, all the members of the 150-member list of the "Strong Armenia" bloc must submit their resignations to the CEC, as well as the 134 members of the "Armenia" bloc, and if the PAP overcomes the temporary threshold after the recount, then also the 150 candidates of the party. It is difficult to say whether the political leaders will be able to influence everyone and ensure a unified decision. The experience of the past years shows that the opposition does not fully trust all the persons involved in its own lists, and that is why the agendas of giving up mandates in the past, as a rule, were not served until the end. Maybe there will be oppositionists who will take the side of CP. Let's not forget that Gegham Nazaryan, the father of the deceased Abgar, entered the National Assembly with opposition slogans, and now he has become a supporter of the Communist Party.
