"Many violations are reported, but it is not clear what is the source of information for these violations, and if there is an observation mission, then the question of its impartiality should be understood," said Daniel Ioannisyan, the program coordinator of the "Union of Informed Citizens" NGO, referring to the activities of the CIS observation mission and the "Hayakve" initiative.
He noted that the information presented by some monitoring structures often lacks sufficient justifications and can form an image that does not correspond to reality. Ioannisyan also criticized the way of presenting alerts on violations, noting that they are often taken out of the general context.
"The alarms are presented not in terms of statistics, but in the form of some kind of information flow, which creates the impression that everything is terrible, everything is bad," he said. According to the speaker, in some cases, election violations are presented as election fraud, which can mislead the public. Separately referring to the behavior of one of the representatives of the CIS observation mission, Ioannisyan noted that "an incident was recorded, which perhaps it has no precedent", when an international observer publicly expressed support for one of the political forces on the social network. "We have already presented that behavior of the CIS observer to the Central Electoral Commission, demanding to be deprived of the observer's accreditation," he noted.
