According to "Zhoghovurd" daily newspaper, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's pre-election campaign is becoming less and less like the presentation of political programs, ideas and reports and more and more turning into a process of insulting, discrediting and threatening the opponents and the opposition electorate. A shameful image is formed in public platforms and in interactions with citizens. the head of government, instead of talking about the country's problems, programs and responsibility, often goes beyond the shores, personifies the political struggle and moves it into the field of offensive vocabulary.
The impression is that Pashinyan personally took the entire public weight of CP propaganda. Meanwhile, in the headquarters, according to the information reaching us from the political field, the "tasovshiks" known from the previous electoral processes are active, and a significant part of the political team mainly provides mass presence, head count.
Against this background, the behavior of high-ranking representatives of the CP, Alen Simonyan, Tigran Avinyan, Anahit Avanesyan and others, during Pashinyan's latest incidents was more than puzzling. Instead of trying to restrain the nervous prime minister, calm the situation and keep the political process in a dignified field, they actually silently watched how the head of the country crossed all the boundaries when communicating with the voters. The officials standing next to Pashinyan were angry, not realizing that the person holding the position of prime minister cannot turn the campaign into a personal revenge. In another episode, Alen Simonyan shows Pashinyan the note of Artur Osikyan, after which the prime minister gets even more nervous and utters new, harsher and unacceptable wording.
Osikyan is currently under arrest and they are trying to detain him. But we must not forget that when it comes to people displaced from Artsakh, war, victims and public wounds, they cannot be hurt. Even the Human Rights Defender nominated by the government, although in rather toothless and lacking in address wording, still referred to the inadmissibility of such behavior. Moreover, Pashinyan's behavior was also criticized by Western-funded non-governmental organizations, which are usually cautious about giving direct assessments to the government. This whole picture shows something important: It seems that there is no one within the CP team who can approach Pashinyan in a nervous moment and say:
"Mr. Pashinyan, this is not nice, this is unethical, this is not the behavior of a prime minister, don't do it." The CP members do not even discuss this behavior afterwards, instead, the team is either silent, or in their presence first provokes and then legitimizes this behavior. Pashinyan, despite having unlimited resources, really took the campaign on his own shoulders. others simply create a backdrop, providing headcount.”
