Saudi Arabia has not allowed offensive military operations in its airspace and supports the idea of de-escalation of the conflict in the Persian Gulf, Al Arabiya reports, citing a high-ranking Saudi source.
The source noted that the kingdom's authorities "did not allow the use of its airspace for offensive military operations." He added that "some parties, for dubious reasons, are now trying to create a distorted picture of Riyadh's position."
Al Arabiya's source also emphasized that Saudi Arabia "seeks de-escalation and supports Pakistan's efforts to reach an agreement to end the war." In turn, Saudi Arabia's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Public Diplomacy, Raed Krimli, called to distrust the media's assumptions.
"The Kingdom continues to maintain its stance of supporting de-escalation, preventing escalation and facilitating negotiations and related efforts.
Information attributed to anonymous sources, including allegedly Saudi sources, should be treated with caution if it contradicts this," the diplomat wrote in X.
