The Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures proposes to amend the Law "On Social Support of Border Communities".
It is noted that in order to ensure the implementation of the Law "On Social Support of Border Communities", to ease the daily worries of the residents of border communities of Armenia as much as possible and to improve living conditions, the government's decision N 1444-N of December 18, 2014 was adopted, which defines the amount of social support provided to the border communities of the Republic of Armenia subject to compensation, the order of compensation and the list of border communities receiving compensation.
Currently, 82 settlements of 13 border communities are receiving support. The social assistance program has been in place since 2015, and the law has been extended three times.
According to the current law, the term ends on January 1, 2027.
5:00 Paused The project proposes to extend the term of the current law for another 3 years, which will enable the residents of settlements included in the list of settlements of communities receiving social assistance to continue receiving compensation for natural gas, electricity, irrigation water, as well as to use other compensation programs defined by the government's decision N 1444 of December 18, 2014.
