"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:
"Zhoghovurd" daily found out from official sources that "Mobile Center Art" company, which is considered the second largest taxpayer in Armenia, transferred 10 million drams to the My Step Foundation, which is headed by the Prime Minister's wife (former) Anna Hakobyan. Of course, the numbers are impressive, but the context of this story is more interesting. Artur Petrosyan, the owner of "Mobile Center Art" company, has a political background. since 2013, he was a member of the RPA Yerevan Council of Elders, being one of the prominent representatives of the former government.
Today, however, the same businessman operates under completely different conditions. During the years of power of Nikol Pashinyan, his business not only expanded significantly in the field of importing phones and exporting them to the Russian Federation under sanctions, but the company also became one of the country's largest taxpayers. And here, perhaps as a "gesture of gratitude", he made a donation of 10 million drams to the foundation associated with the Prime Minister's family, which is equivalent to about 26 thousand US dollars.
The extravagance itself may not be surprising in the background of these volumes of business, but the context in which the representative of the former government is not only in the leading economic positions, but also provides financial support to the structure associated with the current government, raises questions.
"Zhoghovurd" daily contacted Artur Petrosyan to find out why he made such an extravagant donation to the "My step" fund. Can he remember other foundations to which he made such an extravagant donation? "Well, we do it because they apply. It was a charitable step, we did it, what's the problem", Artur Petrosyan wondered."
