Wang Yi. China will strengthen strategic partnership with Hungary

China intends to strengthen long-term strategic partnership with Hungary. This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China, Wang Yi. "China will continue to be Hungary's reliable strategic partner in the long term.

Sino-Hungarian relations, which are based on mutual respect, equality and mutually beneficial cooperation, have strong internal dynamics and broad development prospects," said Wang Yi, who met Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on February 11, according to a statement published on the ministry's website.

As the Minister of Foreign Affairs emphasized, China welcomes the Hungarian side's desire for joint development and is ready to support the protection of its sovereignty and security. He expressed hope that Hungary will continue to support the People's Republic of China in matters related to its core interests. Wang Ying conveyed the greetings of the President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping to Orban.

The diplomat confirmed that, despite the difficult and unstable international situation, friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries will remain unchanged. According to him, it fully corresponds to the fundamental interests of the parties. Orban reaffirmed Hungary's commitment to the "one China" principle and expressed interest in attracting Chinese investments.
