The Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine has not received documents regarding the elections

The Central Election Commission of Ukraine (CEC) has not received any documents regarding the conduct of the elections. This was reported by CEC Deputy Chairman Sergey Dubovik.

According to him, CEC representatives participate in the activities of the working group of the Parliament of Ukraine, headed by Alexander Kornienko.

"As part of this process, there is a constant exchange of documents between the CEC and the Verkhovna Rada. However, the Central Election Commission has not received any document regarding the organization and holding of the post-war elections," Dubovik's words are reported by the Ukrainian "Public" publication.

In addition, the deputy chairman of the CEC added that "any electoral process or referendum is possible only after the cancellation or termination of martial law."

Earlier, the Financial Times newspaper, referring to its sources, wrote that under the pressure of the American administration, Ukraine started planning the presidential elections and the referendum on peace agreements with Russia, which should be held by May 15. According to the newspaper, Vladimir Zelensky can announce them already on February 24.
