The head of European diplomacy, Josep Borrell, stated that it is impossible to have close relations with Russia and at the same time join the European Union.
"If the Georgian authorities are ready to return to the path of European integration, we offer them a concrete plan to repeal the law on transparency of foreign influence, which harms civil society and the media, as well as to repeal the law on the protection of family values, because discrimination it is not our value," he said.
Borel also announced the need to investigate "serious violations" in the October 26 parliamentary elections and accused the authorities of "moving the country away from the EU, its values and principles."
