"Recently, we are witnessing infuriating phenomena, when individual individuals, hiding under the mask of a "believer", commit inhuman acts, disrupting the prayer atmosphere and spiritual peace of churches, even hitting the church doors. Any action that is accompanied by aggression and the use of force is simply beyond the limits of Christian ethics and contradicts the Gospel messages. Whoever knocks on the door of the temple commits blasphemy, regardless of the "excuses and reasons" he brings.
History has repeatedly shown that the greatest damage to the saints was caused by those who glorified God with their lips, but were "wolves in sheep's clothing" in deeds. How can an Armenian, who considers himself a believer, raise his hand on the holy door, in front of which for centuries his grandfathers begged for peace with tears? What we see is not delusion, but a manifestation of spiritual bankruptcy and profaneness. spiritual satanism hidden under a religious mask, presented under the guise of piety.
For centuries, kings and sages, saints and martyrs bowed before this door, many orphans who lost their hair from the Genocide, soldiers who went to battle for the defense of the motherland, and mothers who lost their children in the war and were on the verge of despair kissed it. That door is a holy relic, and they make it a target for their wrath.
What we see is not faith. it is an atrocity disguised in a religious veil. One cannot light a candle, cross oneself with one hand, and knock on the holy door of the Lord's house with the other. And let them remember that every time they light a candle and cross themselves, they hit the door of the Mother Cathedral with that same hand.
Do those who today, blinded by personal interest, knock on those doors, realize what kind of curse and spiritual burden they are piling on themselves and their children? If their dumb conscience is no longer afraid of the loss of their own soul, if they are wondering how they will stand before the Creator after these sacrilegious blows, then at least stop and think about their children. Don't they understand that every fist they raise on the door of the Mother See becomes a heavy stone in the future path of their children? Today, they are trying to break the door, at the threshold of which their children would have to look for salvation and comfort in the most difficult moment of their lives. What do they leave as their legacy, the stigma of rebelling against the temple or the curse of the profane? "I punish the children for the sins of the fathers, even the third and fourth generation of those who hate me" (Exodus 20:5).
Therefore, the blasphemy committed by the fathers often falls on the shoulders of the generations like such a terrible burden, which later causes only pain and sorrow. Profanity is a poison that creeps through the ages and dries up the roots of the lineage.
Save your children. Do not close the doors of blessing to them because of your cruelty and self-centered interest today. Calm down, because your blows are not damaging the door, but the future peace and blessing of your generations. Repent and bow down before the door you hit, because that door is the only way to your salvation, which you hit so mercilessly.
