The Central Electoral Commission of RA recognized the invalidation of the registration of 46 candidates of the deputy in the extraordinary session of May 14. The REPUBLIC PARTY, I AM AGAINST EVERYONE DEMOCRATIC PARTY, LIGHT ARMENIA PARTY, ARMENIAN NATIONAL CONGRESS PARTY, UNITY WINGS PARTY, KOCHAR NATIONAL RENAISSANCE AND NATION have filed self-dissolution applications. A total of 45 candidates included in the electoral lists of ZARTONK PARTY, "ALLIANCE" PROGRESSIVE CENTRIST PARTY, ALLIANCE OF DEFENDERS OF DEMOCRACY FOR THE SAKE OF THE REPUBLIC. This is announced by the Central Election Commission.
Some of the self-discharge applications were notarized in accordance with the law, and in the case of those applications that were not notarized, the applicants appeared at the CEC session.
CEC rejected one candidate's application for self-revocation, as it was not notarized, and the candidate did not appear at the session.
According to the "Electoral Code of the Republic of Armenia" constitutional law, the candidates for the deputy no later than 10 days before the voting day - until 18:00 (May 28).
This period also applies to the parties/alliances participating in the elections to submit their withdrawal.
The commission also filled one vacant position of the 15th, 19th, and 29th CECs by the voting system of preference.
