Dear journalists and cameramen, I, who have been a journalist for a thousand years and had the honor of covering the election of the Catholicos of All Armenians on October 27, 1999, in the Mother Cathedral, at the moment when shots were fired in the National Assembly, and that was one of the most difficult days of my life, yesterday I realized that now an equally heavy burden is placed on your shoulders. I saw what a difficult, cruel time you work as a journalist.
You just shone yesterday with your dedicated, solid, intelligent, firm and persistent work. In that large crowd, with different people on both sides, policemen in the middle, you were able to find, ask questions, force answers from church disputes. They pushed you, bad mouthed you, but you remained at your professional height. Long live you and thank you for your difficult but honorable work Margarit Yesayan
