Russia has not betrayed anyone in Syria. the events that took place there were Syria's internal affairs, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated this in an interview with Iran's state television and radio broadcasting company, which was published on the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to him, Moscow currently has smooth and stable relations with the new Syrian authorities. "Let them give an example of when they think that Russia has "abandoned" someone," emphasized Lavrov, commenting on the claims that Moscow has turned its back on its partners.
"We had close relations with Bashar al-Assad. We came to the aid of his government in 2015, when Damascus was practically surrounded and vulnerable to opposition attacks.
