China is taking back its two giant pandas, a male named Xiaoxiao and a female named Leilei, from the Tokyo Zoo. Now there will be no more pandas in Japan, according to a report from the Chinese publication Sohu, translated by aif.ru.

According to reports, this is happening against the background of increasing tension between the two countries.

Professor Chen Yang of the Japanese Studies Center of Liaoning University stated that if the current tension between the two countries continues, China will never again provide giant pandas to Japan.

Fans of Xiaoxiao and Leilei are now coming to the zoo to bid them farewell.
