The United Nations fulfills its mission with dignity, often being the only mechanism for balancing interests in the world, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.
The head of the Russian state participates in the forum dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the International Day of Neutrality and the 30th anniversary of the permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan.
"Established 80 years ago, it continues to fulfill its mission with dignity and, in fact, is a unique, often the only mechanism for ensuring the international balance of interests," Putin said, speaking at the forum.
