"Russia has always come to the aid of the Syrian people when they needed it. Now Syria needs support in restoring the country's economy, and Moscow is ready to provide such assistance," said Maria Zakharova, official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
"We see that now the Syrians need, first of all, support in restoring the country's economy, which has suffered serious damage as a result of the long internal military-political crisis. We are ready to provide such support. Russian companies have the necessary opportunities and experience for this," said Zakharova, answering the question about the current state of Russian-Syrian relations during the briefing held on Wednesday.
