All the assets of the American Google company in France were seized at the request of its Russian subsidiary Google LLC, whose bankruptcy case is being examined by the Moscow Arbitration Court. Artur Zurabyan, a partner of the ART DE LEX law firm, informed "Izvestia" about this on December 10.

"Google France has received a decision to immediately freeze 100% of its shares. The freeze was imposed in connection with the upcoming hearing of a lawsuit filed by Google LLC against its parent company, Google International LLC, in a Paris court," the statement said.

Google LLC's claim is based on a decision made by the Moscow Arbitration Court in the company's bankruptcy case. This court, like the superior courts, has found that the debtor willfully paid dividends to avoid repayment of his debt to creditors.
