The Istanbul Prosecutor's Office announced that Erso and 7 other people were charged with acquiring, possessing and using drugs or stimulants.
In addition, local media reported the arrest of Habertürk international news director Elif Kılıç, as well as employees Ufuk Tetik, Mahmut Göde, Mustafa Manaz, Gizem Aybakti, Ebru Gülan and Buse Öztağı.
Previously, on December 5, TV presenters Ela Rumeisa Cebeji (Show TV), Meltem Acet (formerly Habertürk) and Hande Sarioglu (Beyaz TV) were arrested as part of the same investigation. After giving statements, taking drug tests and confiscating their phones, the presenters were released.
