Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim discussed the tense situation on the Thai-Cambodian border with Prime Ministers Anutin Chanwirakun and Khun Manet.
"Yesterday I spoke with the Prime Ministers of Cambodia and Thailand to discuss the ongoing tensions along their shared border.
I appreciate the openness and willingness of the two leaders to continue negotiations to reduce tensions and prevent any misunderstandings that could further escalate the situation.
Although no final solution has yet been reached, continued diplomatic intervention has ensured that more serious incidents do not occur at these critical times.
Malaysia will continue to support peaceful dialogue, solutions based on international law and strengthened regional cooperation to ensure stability and security in our shared region,” Anwar Ibrahim wrote in X.
