Hakan Fidan spoke about the process of normalization of relations with Armenia

Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, speaking in the National Assembly of Turkey, spoke about the process of normalization of relations with Armenia.

According to the Turkish Bureau of APA, the Turkish minister stated that this process was carried out in a coordinated manner with Azerbaijan in 2025 and described the achievement of peace next year as a "historic opportunity".

"The process of normalization of relations with Armenia in 2025 was also carried out in the same direction and coordinated with Azerbaijan. In the coming period, we will continue to do everything necessary to ensure stable peace in the region and encourage the parties to take advantage of this historic opportunity," he said.

The Turkish minister noted that mutual visits between the presidents made a special contribution to the further deepening of cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan in 2025, emphasizing the "important events" that took place in the region.

"In the South Caucasus, with which we have historical and cultural ties, important events took place in 2025. Our high-level bilateral relations with our fraternal and allied country, Azerbaijan, continue thanks to high-level mutual contacts, in particular, the visits of the presidents of Turkey and Azerbaijan," added the minister.
