US President Donald Trump believes that it is time to hold presidential elections in Ukraine.

"I think now is the right time to hold elections [in Ukraine]. They are using the war to avoid holding elections, but I think the Ukrainian people should have a choice," he said in an interview with Politico.

The head of the White House, speaking about the prospect of the Russian-Ukrainian settlement, expressed the opinion that Russia is now in a stronger negotiating position than Ukraine. He advised Zelensky to accept the Washington settlement plan. Trump also noted that Ukraine cannot become a member of NATO.
