Thailand will continue to fight until Cambodia changes its stance

Thailand's military will continue military operations until Cambodia changes its position, Thai military spokesman Surasan Khongsiri said at a briefing on Tuesday.

Fighting in the Thai-Cambodian border zones escalated last weekend and continued on Tuesday. Both sides accused each other of violating the ceasefire, and the Thai Air Force launched airstrikes.

Earlier on Tuesday, Cambodian media reported that heavy fighting continued along the Thai-Cambodian border.

According to the latest figures, more than 54,500 people have fled their homes due to attacks by Thai troops on Cambodia's border provinces. A total of 400,000 residents have been evacuated in Thailand, of which 125,000 are in temporary accommodation centers in border provinces.
