Father Sebeos shares the point of view of the arrested priests. according to him, the hostile government will leave before a day

"I call on my priest brothers around the world to revolt against all those leaders who are in agreement with the church-war authorities with their skin-loving and disorderly attitude," Father Sebeos Galachyan, a clergyman of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan, spoke to Euromedia24 about the latest developments, the demand addressed to the Patriarch of the detained priests Mikael, Bagrat and Mkrtich, that they should hastily terminating the powers of the diocesan leaders who joined Pashinyan and making new appointments in the dioceses, thus also protecting the possible pressures on the priests and their integration into the anti-church movement.

Father Sebeos, with his bold attitude, not only publicly supports the diocesan leaders who are in detention today, but he completely shares their demand and their position, which they expressed regarding the bishops who joined Pashinyan, who considered the church to be chula.

Father Sebeos is convinced that the imprisonment of the three priests in itself is "eloquent proof" of the path they have chosen.
"Their being in prison already speaks about their attitude and truthfulness. Whatever they say in those persecutions, we must support them unconditionally", emphasizes Father Sebeos.
Let's emphasize that the only clergyman from the Russian diocese who did not join the statement of the priests who expressed support for the church and the clergy yesterday, and showed his rebellion against the church, is the brother of Bishop Gevorg Saroyan, who is being condemned these days, Father Hakob Saroyan, who until yesterday hid his inclinations and political views towards the government.
Regarding this circumstance, Father Sebeos answered: "How can I interpret...
If we call all those bishops who smile and shake Pashinyan's hand traitors, we can call Father Hakob Saroyan a traitor priest in the same way." He added that he does not want to voice much stricter qualifications.
According to the priest, if the leader does not obey his superior, the Patriarch, then obedience to him also loses its content. "obedience cannot be one-sided and selective."
The priest reminded the principle of church obedience, emphasizing that it cannot be optional. "If the leader does not obey his superior, the Patriarch, then we have no obligation to obey him either. It's a simple rule."
The priest called the authorities a "hostile government" and emphasized: "The hostile government will leave before a day. I hope that next July we will no longer have the power of this evil and its leader Agves", concluded Father Sebeos. Ghalacyan.
