I will not restrict my right to speak openly with the public. Davit Tonoyan issued a statement

I will not restrict my right to speak openly with the public. The former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan made a statement about this. 2023 to the report prepared by the investigative commission created to study the circumstances of the military operations unleashed on September 27 and with my participation. getting acquainted with the minutes of the meetings held on August 1 and August 2 is not a "fancy".

It is a right provided by the constitutional law, which I want to realize, especially in the conditions of the "trial" being conducted in Baku and dozens of trials against the RA military. The constitutional law provides that, if necessary, I can make a request to make changes in the protocols, provide clarifications regarding the commission's report, as well as fully justify my position.

1. In the case of the existence of a clear regulation by the legislation, I consider the wordings of "allowing" or "not allowing", as well as hints about possible restrictions on privacy, to be groundless and unacceptable, especially considering the positions I held in the past. Moreover, if I, not only not being an official, but also being a detainee as a result of criminal prosecution, participated in the session of the investigative commission, then how can any restrictions be applied to me today? "Davit Tonoyan" published in September. In the book-dialogue "Army, Politics and War", I did not make the decision to participate in the sessions of the investigative commission easily, it was the result of long deliberation.

Despite all the reservations I had about the true goals of that committee, I ultimately decided to participate to show our community that I have nothing to hide.

And when I am actually told in an official letter that the report does not have the "legal status of a report", my reservations are only reinforced.

1. There was a public expectation that the report of the investigative commission would become available to the public in one way or another in 2025. on the fifth anniversary of the 44-day war in September. However, taking into account the above-mentioned reservations, I agreed to the preparation and publication of the book-dialogue "The Army, Politics and War", because I did not want to restrict my right to speak openly with the public for the non-transparent purposes of others. I am sure that answers to many questions can be found in the book."

I expect to receive a substantive answer in a short period of time. to my letter addressed to the President of the National Assembly on November 25. Otherwise, neither I nor, I am sure, the public will understand what was the real purpose of creating the commissioner.
