Davit Tonoyan is not allowed to get acquainted with the report of the investigative commission studying the circumstances of the 44-day war

Former Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Davit Tonoyan issued a statement, in which it is specifically stated:

"I announce that in 2020 In 2023, with my participation, the investigative commission established to study the circumstances of the military operations unleashed on September 27. In order to get acquainted with the minutes of the sessions and the report of the committee held on August 1 and August 2, and to give clarifications about them, as well as to submit a request to make changes in them and to fully justify my position, In response to the applications addressed to the President of the National Assembly on July 15 and October 28, on November 13, I received the reply of the head of the National Assembly's staff-general secretary.

In doing so, it actually appeared to me that the report of the investigative committee sent to the President of the National Assembly does not have the legal status of a report provided for in Article 25 of the "Rules of the National Assembly" constitutional law, therefore, in connection with my request to get acquainted with the minutes of the sessions held with my participation and the committee's report, the 1st and 2nd clauses of Article 22, Part 2 of the "Rules of the National Assembly" constitutional law are not applicable.

After receiving such a response, I turned to the group of lawyers providing legal assistance to me, received appropriate legal advice, on the basis of which and based on Article 22, Part 2, Clauses 1 and 2 of the "Regulations of the National Assembly" constitutional law, On November 24, I again wrote to the Speaker of the National Assembly, asking to be allowed to get acquainted with the document prepared by the investigative committee.

If necessary, I am ready to publish the clarification provided by the advocacy group in full, as well as the correspondence with the NA staff."
