420 thousand US dollars were spent for the "Academic City" forum: "Zhoghovurd"

"Zhoghovurd" daily writes:

"Academic City of Armenia" was launched in Yerevan from yesterday. International Forum of Knowledge" event, the importance of which, apparently, is understood only by the RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

The event was attended by RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan, Minister of Education and Culture Zhanna Andreasyan, as well as ministers of education and science of Georgia and a number of other countries. During the panel discussions, however, the international delegates who came to "check" Armenia's status as the "new capital of science" enjoyed Armenia. The Government of RA took care of inviting them, welcoming them, accommodation and travel expenses.

"Zhoghovurd" daily found out from the study of official documents that about 159.4 million drams, which is almost 421 thousand US dollars, were spent for the two-day event organized in the super-luxurious "Dvin" complex. The guests were paid 400-600 thousand drams for one speech, just for speech and words, 8 participants from London gave a speech and they were paid 4.8 million drams.

"Zhoghovurd" daily reported that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gave his speech without the media, while the public wants to know what Armenia got from this forum, apart from colorful PowerPoint slides and prepared tea and coffee tables. Informed sources of "Zhoghovurd" daily informed that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also said during his speech and conversations that it seems only he believes to the end that the Academic City project will be implemented. others are skeptical.

These words caused confusion among the representatives of the Government.

Note that there is no final clarity yet, but one thing is clear. the expenses of the congress are much higher than the result of our expected knowledge, and the taxpayers of Armenia paid not for the education, but for the entrance cards and entertainment. The "Academic City" forum, in fact, has become an agenda megaforum, where the "color" of the expenses has been more influential than the ideas about the effectiveness of the program.

Details in today's issue of "Zhoghovurd" daily.
