Print: India and China are ready to distance themselves from US influence

High-level meetings between India and China indicate that the countries are trying to find a way out of the current situation on the border and distance themselves from Western influence, writes The Print newspaper.
As stated in the publication, the United States made it clear that it views India as an instrument of possible confrontation with China, and not a power with its own interests.
The newspaper also noted that Washington has lost its military superiority over Beijing and will no longer be able to impose its security architecture in Asia without China's approval.  Against this background, according to the observer, India needs to isolate its relations with China as much as possible. On October 23, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan.
