"Natural disasters in the world have already caused 80 billion dollars of insured damages, half of whom in the first weeks of 2025 were fired in the area of Los Angeles," the report said.
The agency emphasizes that even the insurance damage in 2011 after the catastrophe in Fukushima, Japan, which led to a crash at the Fukushima-1 nuclear power plant.
The Munich Re spokesman told the agency that the company expects greater insurance damage in the second half of 2025, as this period is usually richer in natural disasters, storms in North America.
