Forest fires continue in Turkey. There are victims (video)

Forest fires in Turkey have been threatening the fourth largest city in Turkey, as a result of which hundreds of people had to leave their homes, according to the Associated Press.

In the forested mountains surrounding the northwest of Turkey, night fires were quickly spread on the eastern suburbs of the city, painting the night sky.

The staff of the governor of Bursa stated that 1,765 people were successfully evacuated from the villages of northeastern country, and more than 1,100 firefighters are fighting against fire. The highway connecting Bursan to the capital, Ankara, closed due to the fire in the surrounding forests.

Thirteen people have been killed in recent weeks, including 10 volunteer rescue and forest workers who have died on Wednesday at a fire in Eskişehir. The Minister of Justice Yilmaz Tunch announced late on the evening that the prosecutor's office has investigated fires in 33 states, adding that lawsuits against 97 suspects were filed. Due to the scale of fires, the government declared the two Western states on Friday, Izmir and Bierjik, a disaster zone.
