During a telephone conversation, US President Donald Trump promised to send 10 Patriot hunting missiles immediately and helped to find additional supply, according to Axios, citing his sources.
According to them, on the eve of this conversation, Trump also spoke with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. According to one of the German officials, Merz asked Trump to "defuse" Patriot missiles, which were previously suspended on the road to Ukraine.
According to Axios, Merz is ready to buy additional Patriot batteries from the United States and send them to Ki. In response, Trump suggested that Germany provide Ukraine to one of its existing batteries instead. The parties did not agree, but the talks continue, Axios wrote.
