Three opposition may have been arrested in Turkey

The mayors of three major Turkish towns, Adiyaman, Adana and Antalya have been arrested on charges of bribery, officially abuse and organized crime, the Associated Press reports.

According to the source, 10 people were arrested, including Adiyaman Mayor Abdurah and Adana Mayor Zeyan Karalar. Both are members of the Turkish opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) members.

They are also accused of bribery. The Turkish prosecutor's office has not yet released the details of the cases.

The three mayors represent the main opposition force, the Republican People's Party, which is the main competitor of the ruling Justice and Development Party.
