From now on, the figure skating couple will be represented by Armenia, the Russian Figure Skating Federation has confirmed the transfer of the skeptical sports couple.
For the first time in history, Armenia will have a sports couple in figure skating competitions. They will take part in the Olympic rating tournament in Beijing in September.
Akopova, 21, and 26-year-old Rachmann, are students of the Russian Figure Skating School, from 2020 and are trained in Sochi, led by Fedor Klimov. This couple has won various international tournaments.
The winter Olympics will be held in Milan next year.
