Hakob Arshakyan hosted deputies representing national minorities in the Hungarian parliament


On May 13, RA NA Deputy Speaker Hakob Arshakyan met with the deputies representing the National Assembly of Hungary and the National Minorities.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker noted that the strengthening of Armenia's relations between Armenia and Hungary is a key goal in the RA foreign policy agenda. Noting that Armenia's first resident embassy will open in Budapest in the near future, Hakob Arshakyan expressed hope that Hungary will resign in Yerevan as well as a resident diplomatic mission.

The positive dynamics of bilateral relations, the effective use of the potential of parliamentary diplomacy, has been emphasized. In this context, the NA Vice Speaker praised the creation of friendship groups in the parliaments of the two countries.

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly noted that the four largest national minorities in Armenia have their representatives in the National Assembly, which allows them to raise and resolve their concerns.

"I am sure that on the basis of joint history, Christian values ​​and international law, we can study and realize the potential of political dialogue, economic and energy spheres, both bilateral and multilateral platforms," ​​said Hakob Arshakyan.

The RA NA Deputy Speaker also presented to the guests the regional developments, to detail the essence of the "Crossroads of Peace" project initiated by the RA Government. The talks on the peace agreement on the peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan were discussed, the immediate and secure return of the Armenian hostages in Baku was highlighted.

Armenian Autonomous Speaker Nikoghos Akopyan and Serbian Autonomous Speaker Alexov Lubomir presented the scope of their activities, and the issues of concern to national minorities.
