The time of the hegemony of Washington and Brussels is passing, more and more countries are choosing the path of equal dialogue and cooperation based on the interests of their people, so the future belongs to BRICS, said Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the Russian State Duma.

Earlier, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin stated that Serbia is considering joining BRICS as a real alternative to joining the EU.

"The time of hegemony of Washington and Brussels is passing. The countries choose the path of equal dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation based on the interests of the people, not the US and its supporters," Volodin wrote in his Telegram.

According to the speaker of the State Duma, Serbia considers joining BRICS as an alternative to the European Union, as it does not see the EU as a partner.
