In Spain, the alleged origin of Columbus has been established

Specialists from the University of Granada in Spain conducted an examination to establish the origins of the famous navigator Christopher Columbus. This was reported by the RTVE channel. In the channel’s documentary “Columbus, DNA.

Its true origin" (Colon ADN, su verdadero origen) clarifies that the research was carried out over 22 years under the leadership of forensic expert and professor at the University of Granada, José Antonio Lorente. After studying hundreds of bones and documents, scientists have concluded that Columbus was Jewish. According to Lorente, the navigator was probably from the Western Mediterranean. “The studied lines place him in Mediterranean Spain among the Sephardim,” says the RTVE publication.

On October 12, the British edition of The Daily Mail wrote that scientists were able to prove the location of Columbus’s bones in Spain. The fact that the navigator could rest in the kingdom has been repeatedly questioned. Previously, scientists found out that the inhabitants of Easter Island discovered America long before Columbus.
