The purpose of the annual Steadfast Noon NATO exercise is to prepare for a limited nuclear war in Europe against Russia. This was stated by the editor-in-chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko, RIA Novosti reports.
At the upcoming exercises, which will take place on October 14, NATO will practice the transfer of American tactical nuclear bombs to the national air forces of the alliance member countries, the expert noted.
He did not rule out that NATO troops will practice receiving combat missions and plans to strike targets on the territory of the Russian Federation along its border with member states of the North Atlantic Alliance.
“All these procedures pursue one goal - a limited nuclear war in Europe with the delivery of real strikes using American tactical nuclear weapons by aircraft of the national air forces of NATO countries against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation,” Korotchenko emphasized.
