Artsakh HRD Gegham Stepanyan delivered the letter to the UN office demanding the release of the prisoners held in Baku. He mentioned that they are there to release captives and to understand people's destinies. When asked why Nikol Pashinyan did not speak about the captives at the UN podium, the HRD of Artsakh said:
"You should ask Nikol Pashinyan about that. The session of the General Assembly of the United Nations was an opportunity to raise the issue of humanitarian nature and draw the public's attention to it from the international high court. I cannot say why it was not raised," Stepanyan said.
According to him, when they see that the authorities of Armenia do not take steps to return the captives and the missing persons, they should exercise public pressure and keep the issue on the agenda.
