A Seattle court has temporarily blocked President Donald Trump's executive order, which restricts obtaining US citizenship by birthright, reports CNN.
"I have been on the bench for more than four decades. I cannot recall another case where the issue raised was this clear," Judge John Cougenour said in the ruling.
The judge was appointed under President Ronald Reagan. He granted the request of the representatives of the states of Washington, Illinois, Oregon and Arizona, calling Trump's executive order blatantly unconstitutional.
