Vice President of the People's Republic of China Han Zhen had a meeting with American businessman Elon Musk in Washington, reports Xinhua.

Earlier, Han Zhen arrived in Washington to participate in the inauguration of US President-elect Donald Trump. The meeting between Han Zhen and Musk took place on January 19. As the agency notes, the Vice President of the People's Republic of China said that Beijing welcomes American companies, including Tesla, to take advantage of the opportunities provided by China's development.

Musk, as noted by the agency, said that Tesla is ready to deepen investment and cooperation in China, as well as "to play an active role in promoting economic and trade exchanges between the United States and China."

On the same day, Han Zheng met with representatives of the US business community.
