Peskov responded to the document to be signed on RA-US strategic partnership

The USA is playing a destabilizing role in the South Caucasus and is trying to pull new countries behind it, this opinion was expressed by the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on Armenia's intention to sign a strategic partnership agreement with the USA, writes TASS.

"The USA has never played a particularly stabilizing role in the South Caucasus, one can even say the opposite. It is in the context of these actions that the US, on the contrary, of course, is trying in every way to pull more and more countries behind it," said the representative of the Kremlin. He noted that the development of the strategic partnership between Armenia and the US in Yerevan is the sovereign right.

"Developing relations with all countries, including the USA, is Armenia's sovereign right.

The Russian Federation intends to build its ties with Armenia," said Peskov. Today in Washington, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken will sign the RA-US strategic partnership document.
