Pistorius handed over the first RCH 155 self-propelled gun to the Ukrainian side

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius handed over the first RCH 155 self-propelled artillery unit to the Ukrainian side.

"This is a signal that Ukraine can count on us," Pistorius said. In total, the German authorities plan to transfer 54 such self-propelled guns to Kiev. The first six installations will remain in Germany for the time being, and the Ukrainian military will be trained on them.

The RCH 155 self-propelled gun, according to KNDS, is considered one of the "most modern" such installations. At the same time, it is possible to remotely control the gun turret with a 155 mm cannon. In the future, such installations should go to the Bundeswehr.
