Qatar has announced that it supports Syria in all fields

The Minister of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Mohammed al-Khuleifi, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the new Syrian administration, Asad Hassan al-Shibani, discussed the situation in the republic by phone. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the emirate.

During the conversation, al-Khulayfi also assured Al-Shibani of "Qatar's continued support to Syria in all fields, especially in the humanitarian sector." In turn, the head of the Syrian Transitional Government's Ministry of Foreign Affairs thanked Doha for its "firm stance" towards the Syrian people.

On January 3, al-Shibani announced that he intends to visit Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan in the coming days. The new Syrian administration hopes that the visit will contribute to the "maintenance of stability and security" in the republic, as well as the recovery of the country's economy.

On January 1, the delegation of the Syrian transitional government arrived in Riyadh for the first foreign visit after the change of power in Damascus. On Thursday, Al-Shibani met with the Kingdom's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, in the capital of Saudi Arabia.
