Two people were killed as a result of the crash of a light plane off the coast of the UAE, WAM news agency reports.
"A light plane belonging to the "Al Jazeera" aviation sports club crashed near the shores of the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, the pilot and his companion were killed," the agency said in a statement.
According to WAM, referring to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation of the UAE, the competent authorities are investigating the causes of the incident. The Civil Aviation Department expressed its condolences to the relatives of the victims.
