Putin met with Nazarbayev


Russian President Vladimir Putin had a meeting with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in Novo-Ogarevo. Relevant information has been publishedOn the website of the Kremlin.

"Vladimir Putin met with the first president of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, in Novo-Ogarevo," the message reads.

Last time, the meeting between Putin and Nazarbayev was reported at the end of 2023. As Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the head of state, noted at the time, it was "absolutely private".

84-year-old Nazarbayev is the first president of Kazakhstan (1991-2019). In March 2019, he signed a decree on his resignation. Kasim-Zhomart Tokayev was his successor as head of state.
