The State Revenue Committee reminds of the regulations regarding the transportation of goods by natural persons across the border of the Republic of Armenia, which need to be informed when leaving the Republic of Armenia.
Goods for personal use by individuals are exported from the territory of the Republic of Armenia without payment of customs duties and taxes, regardless of value, weight and (or) quantity. At the same time, before departure, it is necessary to know that there are bans or restrictions on the export of some goods.
If a natural person temporarily exports goods from Armenia, he can apply to the customs authority for identification of temporarily exported personal use goods, as this identification can facilitate their re-importation to the territory of the Republic of Armenia without paying customs duties and taxes.
In the event that a natural person is going to transport goods for personal use by land from Armenia with accompanying luggage to other EAEU member states, through the territory of a non-EAEU member state, he can export them from the territory of Armenia using a passenger customs declaration, by performing identification. Those goods retain the status of Union goods.
It is also important to know that the illegal transportation of a number of goods through the customs border of the EAEU or the state border of the Republic of Armenia, which was carried out without customs control or hiding from it, or not to declare reliable information about them in the prescribed manner or not to declare in one's name or the rules established for their transportation, including violating prohibitions and restrictions, or fraudulently using customs or other documents, is considered smuggling, which is a criminal act.
