ABC. Threatened to kill Trump and his family detained in the US

US authorities have arrested a man from Arizona who threatened to kill US President-elect Donald Trump and his family. This was reported by ABC News, citing indictment documents and sources.

According to investigative materials obtained by the TV channel, Manuel Tamayo-Torres made “non-specific but direct” threats against the elected president, and sources familiar with the investigation confirmed that his statements concerned Trump specifically. According to the TV channel, the attacker had previously published a video on social networks in which he said, addressing the politician: “You will die, your son will die, your whole family will die.” Additionally, in the video, Tamayo-Torres made "a variety of strange and outlandish statements" about Trump while brandishing an AR-15 rifle. In August, Tamayo-Torres attended a Republican election rally in Arizona. The US president-elect has survived two assassination attempts over the past year. The first happened at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania in July when a bullet fired by a sniper grazed the politician’s ear. For the second time, a radical and supporter of aid to Ukraine opened fire near Trump’s Florida residence, Mar-a-Lago.
