The European Commission, headed by Ursula von der Leyen, will continue the policy of replacing Russian energy resources, including liquefied natural gas, in the EU. The new head of the EC announced this at the plenary session of the European Parliament, where the new composition of the EU's highest executive body was approved, RIA Novosti reports.

On November 16, he announced that the European Union is ready to stop the supply of gas from Russia.

On November 20, it was reported that the European Parliament approved all 26 commissioners of the European Commission for the next five years.
