Artificial intelligence has begun to maintain order in the Kyrgyz colonies

Correctional institutions in Kyrgyzstan have begun using artificial intelligence to monitor the maintenance of order by inmates and staff. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of the Republic, which includes the Penitentiary Service (SIN).

"Artificial intelligence technologies based on machine learning were implemented on the territory of INS institutions No. 21 (pretrial center-1) and No. 27 (correctional colony) on a trial basis to prevent violations of the established regime in the institutions," the message said.

Cameras equipped with pre-trial detention centers and colonies can detect "fire, fight, unauthorized gathering of people, being in the wrong place", as well as "defection of the administration of the institution".

There are more than one and a half dozen correctional colonies and pre-trial detention centers in Kyrgyzstan, where about 11 thousand people are located.
