Čolacu and Lasconi will meet in the second round of the Romanian presidential elections

The leader of the Social Democratic Party of Romania, Prime Minister Marcel Čolacu, received 25% of the votes in the first round of the presidential elections held on Sunday. The second result was shown by Elena Lasconi, from the center-right party "Romania Salvation Union", who received 18.1% of the votes. These exit poll data were released shortly after polls closed at 11:00 p.m. by the Center for Urban and Regional Sociology.

52.41 percent of registered voters participated in the elections.

Since the presidential candidate had to get at least 50% of registered voters plus 1 vote to be elected in the first round, the second round of elections will take place on December 8, in which Çolaku and Lasconi will participate.
