Valuable items from the 18th century were stolen from a Paris museum

Robbers used axes and baseball bats to break open the display of the Musée Cognac in Paris in front of visitors, stealing five 18th-century collection boxes and cigarette cases. This was reported by the "France Presse" agency, citing a source familiar with the investigation materials.

The criminals carried out the attack on Wednesday morning, shortly after the opening of the museum.

None of the museum's visitors or employees were injured. The stolen items were given to the museum for the Luxe en exhibition. The theft is estimated.
